#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Givsly, in partnership with Advertising Week, launched the inaugural Season Without Swag as an industry-wide campaign to use our resources in Advertising to benefit the community in the lead up to #GivingTuesday.
This campaign has garnered support from over 30 companies, including advertising executives from Mindshare, Initiative, Horizon Media, UM Worldwide, Hearts & Science, iProspect, OMD USA, and Havas Media Group. The initiative sent a clear message: as an industry we must do more to support our community, and we can through pulling from the resources we have in excess to take action where possible.
Season Without Swag has already redirected over $250,000 to nonprofit organizations in need. In addition, the industry has participated in the campaign via the Givsly platform to schedule hard-to-book meetings and form meaningful connections through the good-will offer of a donation in return for time in a meeting.
With just one week to go until #GivingTuesday, there is still time for you to get involved. Here are three easy ways you can give back:
- DONATE: If you plan on making a donation to a nonprofit instead of sending typical gifts, let Givsly know! Reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the Season Without Swag campaign.
- SIGN UP: Sign up to Givsly.com and volunteer your time in business to support nonprofit organizations this #GivingTuesday.
- CONNECT: Use Givsly to easily get face time with clients at the holidays or find new 2021 prospects and use the budgets you would typically spend on entertainment and donate a portion of it instead!
